How Squatter works
How it works
- Type any registered domain into the address bar: a viral site, a browser game, a service. Squatter takes the registrable name (www.neal.fun/x becomes neal.fun).
- The first coin on a domain opens it on chain (the opener pays its rent, about 0.002 SOL). Then the coin launches on pump.fun with its creator set to the program.
- Every creator fee the coin earns is split by the program. The biggest share is booked for the owner of the domain and waits on chain.
- The owner adds one DNS TXT record and claims. From then on their share is paid to their wallet, or burned if they choose Burn.
Coins on Squatter are not affiliated with their domain unless the domain shows CLAIMED. Squatter does not ask for permission; the owner can claim, burn their share and close the domain to new coins.
For domain owners
- Connect the wallet you want paid. Open Get the keys and enter your domain.
- Add a TXT record at _squatter.<your domain> with the value squatter-claim=<wallet>;epoch=<n> (the page writes it for you).
- Squatter asks four DNS resolvers (Cloudflare, Google, Quad9 and your own name servers). All must agree, twice, 10 min apart. One record, no CNAME.
- Your wallet signs the claim. A 48 h window follows in which the guardian re-checks the record and can stop a hijack. After it, everything booked is paid to your wallet.
- Changing the wallet later takes a public 7 d window. You can switch your share to Burn, or close the domain to new coins, at any time.
Where the fee goes
| Share | Goes to |
|---|---|
| 70% | The domain owner (booked until they claim) |
| 10% | The coin's dev, claimable any time |
| 15% | Buys $SQUATTER and burns it |
| 5% | Squatter treasury |
If no owner claims within 180 days of a coin's launch, its booked owner share and future owner share buy back that same coin and burn it, in small guarded chunks. An owner who shows up later gets the new fees from then on.

Trust points
- Program SqtQ3rUJw7P1wtF4989d3rdHipQJHVQXntsF35Rv4F1. No admin, treasury or guardian path can take SOL out of a coin. The owner share is paid only to the domain's verified wallet, or burned.
- Attestor (the DNS checking service) signs domain openings and claims. A bad attestor could open a spam domain or bind a wrong wallet to an unclaimed domain; money still waits the 48 h window, the guardian re-checks every 2 h and can revoke the attestor key at once. It cannot move SOL of a claimed domain without the 7 day public rebind window.
- Guardian can revoke a claim inside its window, cancel a rebind or a block, and pause one owner's payouts once per claim for at most 30 days. It moves no SOL.
- Admin can pause new domains and launches (claims and payouts never pause), change future parameters after 24 h, change roles after 3 days, and block abusive domains (a domain with a verified owner only after 3 days). A block never takes booked SOL: it sends the future owner share into burns of the same coin.
- DNS: someone who hijacks a domain's DNS and holds it through both checks and the whole 48 h window could claim it. Blocked: banks, wallets, government and known phishing names; hosted sub-sites (github.io and similar) and non-ASCII names are refused.
- pump.fun can change creator fees or its programs; Squatter follows the fees it actually receives.
Risks
Memecoins are volatile and most go to zero. A coin's name or picture says nothing about the domain's owner. Nothing here is advice.
